    Boy, were we bad!!!

Filed under: Show Posts — Denise @ 8:56 pm

Our story of our Living on the Edge Infamy on ACBRI turned out to be five hours and twenty minutes long. In reviewing our old LOTE shows, I had a list of over 40 ‘bad’ tunes that we played. Don’t worry, the podcast is only three hours long website. Enjoy sharing our memories along with our kick ass New Year’s Eve highlights from 12/31/00 and our historical Birthday Bash. Get our latest podcast here. We kicked major ass, I mean llama.

The Infamy of Living On The Edge

Filed under: Show Posts — Denise @ 9:45 pm

In preparing for this week’s kick ass show, I realized that Wil and I must have been the sharpest thorn in Jonathan Mosen’s side and his most intense pain in his ass. Our intent for this week is to give you examples of what made Living On The Edge infamous on such a respectable station as ACB Radio. We pushed that envelope far beyond the acceptable limits. As I made a sampling of our first birthday presentatio, I sincerely believe that we got what we deserved. We truly enjoyed our time on ACBRI and hold no ill will against anyone there. We will play some of our ‘bad’ songs and share some old ID’s (also ‘bad’). After you tune in this week, you will understand why our current promo is as long as a show. Catch it! Kick Ass!!!

    This Week’s Show

Filed under: Show Posts — Wil @ 10:32 pm

After listening to JJRN on Next Gen, Denise and I decided to unvail the story behind the infamy of Living On The Edge. How did we come up with this? Jerry took a bet on his show that he could do a clean show for his four hour slot. He slipped up at the 3 hour and 50 minute mark. Somehow, during the show, the candy bar poem came in to play. We’ll tell you what it was like working at ACB Radio Interactive, the story behind the firing, and the reactions we got from listeners and staff. Before some people get there panties in a bunch, this is *NOT* a slam against ACBRI. The intent of this isn’t to provide background info on something I think people would have wanted to hear, especially from us. It’s been four years since the event, and a lot has changed.

Be sure to tune in Friday night at 9:00 PM Eastern on Next Gen Radio Network.

    This Week’s Show

Filed under: Show Posts — Denise @ 9:26 pm

Just because we are going to discuss co-dependency on the show doesn’t mean we’re turning it into a fucking Dr. Phil show! We won’t go to the other extreme and do Jerry Springer either. Let’s talk about how you know when you are made for each other and when are you really bad for each other, like in the song ‘My Own Worst Enemy’ by Lit. And with the same sex male friendship thing, how do you know when you are just lonely and hanging out with the boys or when you turn into an all out homo. If you don’t like any of the topics or just want to talk about something else, call in and stir it up. Kick Ass!!!

    This week’s Show

Filed under: Show Posts — Wil @ 9:31 pm

A couple topics we’re going to have for the show this Friday, 08/19/05, are as follows:

What makes a relationship come down to the point where the participants in the relationship are co-dependent of each other? Does the mate know his/her mate is co-dependent of them? Will they ever know? Will they ever care? Will they ever do something about it? Why do the mate keep doing the things to comfort the needs of the other?

Also, one other question has popped up in my mind this week. I know of a single guy who spends a lot of time at a man’s house. No, it’s not me! Both men are men, obviously. As far as I know, both are heterosexual. At what point does it look like the relationship between friends goes beyond the point of no return? We draw a lot of conclusions, looking in from the outside. What are your thoughts on this matter?

If you have had a relationship like this, or if you want to share your thoughts on the above questions, tune in to the show and participate via MSN Messenger by adding live@nextgenradionetwork.net. We will also have AOL Instant Messenger at the screen name, nextgenlive. You can also call on the phone at 1-866-437-6476. All this and the best in rock with current and past tunes is all yours for three hours!

The show airs at 9:00 PM Eastern on The Next Gen Radio Network.
